Guest guest
Kendra, I bought " News From the Border " a number of years ago. I started my autism library 20 yrs. ago so don't remember exactly when I got it. I rarely buy books new except for autism books since they take a while to get into the libraries...sometimes I can find them in used book stores but that's just luck and frequent checking. Guest guest
, Thanks very much for responding. I've found that libraries tend to keep the older books which is both an advantage and disadvantage.. You can still find the books that tend to be out of print, but it is also a disappointment to see that some libraries are still stuck as far back as the 60's with their autism selection.. my school library, which underwent mass expansion in a 2 million dollar school renovation has ONE book about autism .. " Children with Emerald Eyes " .. not exactly a vast expanse of knowledge for young inquiring minds! But I haven't been able to find " News from the Border " at libraries or at book stores.. maybe one day when I least expect it will show up..thanks! Take care, Kendra
> > & gt;Hi everyone,
> > & gt;I just got the book & quot; What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's
> > Vaccinations & quot; by Cave from the school library... but it took
> > about 3 weeks to get here from another library and I only have a couple
> > weeks left on the researching aspect of my paper. Guest guest
Kendra, Aha! I can finally offer something here... I was on the NC Autism Bookstore and found...News from the Border(!) $10.00 seems to be in stock. I guess it published in 1993, so that is why it is hard to find. Check out this link: http://appcomm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv? Screen=PROD & Store_Code=ASNC & Product_Code=BNEW01 I believe the home page is: http://appcomm.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv? Guest guest
Hi Kendra, You did nothing wrong. It is not your fault. I have had my own struggles with my weight since the MGB. I had my first one in Sept. 2001 and I only lost 50 lbs from it. It wasn't Dr. R. who did it and that was the problem. Then I had a revision about a year later with Dr. R. and I lost a total of 70 lbs with that one. I lost a little more at first but then gained some back. My starting weight before the first one was 320 so I had a lot more to lose then I lost with both operations. I still feel fat and am still wearing plus size clothing. It is a real bummer that I still weigh over 200 pounds. I was hoping that the revision would really help me lose at least 100 pounds but it didn't. There are no guarantees. My life is still 100% better now than it was when I weighed 320 pounds, for sure. So I am not complaining at all. Just a little disappointed. The operation is expensive and a revision does not guarantee you will lose what you need to lose. Just my 2 cents. Feel free to write me anytime you want. a Rosenblatt Sept. 2001 Dr. Zinni Las Vegas (a totally incompetent doctor) October 2001 Revision with Dr. Rutledge ( a wonderful doctor Starting weight 320 Weight now
Guest guest
Hi Kendra: I remember you! We keep hearing about people being revised to RNY but we can't seem to actually find them. We know about one...THE one. We have heard of some people who have gone to see another bariatric surgeon with a complaint that could be easily handled by Dr. R with medication and they are told that the only answer is a revision to RNY...simply put...they often don't know how to treat and view the answer as converting to the surgery that they do and are comfortable with. If you are having problems please do two things. 1: Call Debbie at CLOS. She is extremely knowledgable and will not steer you wrong. and 2) if she thinks you need to, she will have you get in touch with Dr. R...BY CELL phone, not by email. He will talk with you and try to help you solve whatever problems you are having. Please think long and hard before you revise your MGB to RNY!! Guest guest
Besides THE one...autumn was revised to an rny, wasn't she and then came back to RR and had him revise her BACK to an mgb...and she finally got thin... There is no magic, but I still, even after requiring a revision to lose all my weigh, wouldn't change my MGB to an RNY for ANYTHING.... Happy Camper... Guest guest
Jill - Please wish Kendra a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for us! I know we weren't able to get our girls together at the conference but Kendra is always welcome to email ne privately. The conference made a HUGE difference with ne for she never even wanted the word JRA mentioned in our house. Now she has met all these new friends, including her new younger friends, caroline, nick & Jake and she talks about her JRA everyday. I know we talked about the girls ages and they are only a year apart so maybe ne and Kendra could be a " support " team for each other. ne just turned 12 in February and Holly is also on this group, through her mother n, and she is the same age as ne too. Let us know if we can be of any help or you want to get the girls " together " HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY Kendra ! and you are in our prayers for a quick remission whether it is drug induced or not. Guest guest
Sandy, Sandy, Have you ever read the book The Yeast Connection? This book describes in detail symptoms and treatment for yeast (fungal) infections. Your symptoms very well could be yeast related, rather than capsule related. Below is a test and some info regarding candida. Take the test and see how you do. Kenda Simple Home Candida Tests and The Diagnosis of Exclusion After long study, most people end up diagnosing themselves as having Candida. We see this happen again and again. It usually comes after long frustration -trying to find answers to what's wrong with them after seeing numerous doctors. We call this type of Candida diagnosis (drumroll, please) the Diagnosis of Exclusion. It works something like this... Over time people go to one or more medical doctor. The Doctors keep saying nothing is wrong with them (there is no medical specialty regarding fungus, so most do not even believe in Candida yeast overgrowth). Then after more time people begin talking to friends, studying online and reading books about Candida to help themselves. They come across the list of Candida symptoms and have an " ahaa! " experience. In short, they see themselves in the mirror of these Candida symptoms. They know their continuing health problems are not a medically treatable condition because the doctors have told them so. And they see Candida symptoms as being much like their own! Hmmnnn... All other things being excluded they are now edging closer to diagnosing themselves with Candida yeast overgrowth. The Diagnosis of Exclusion is taking place (Take Heart! -with knowledge comes the possibility of healing!) Good News! They try our Candida Recovery Program and it works! Symptoms Gone! Diagnosed. Treated. Gone! The following simple and free home Candida tests can help you complete your own self diagnostic process. If they both point to Candida yeast overgrowth as your problem our 100% guaranteed Candida treatment program can help you to take back your life! Two Simple Home Candida Tests Candida is often brought on by various components of our modern lifestyle -the foods we eat, toxins in the environment, antibiotic use, etc. Dr. Crook's verbal Candida test helps you to see if multiple factors have " ganged up " on you to make your body vulnerable to this yeast overgrowth imbalance. The second home Candida test, the Candida home saliva test, is a graphic indication of whether you have this medical condition. Guest guest
Sandy, My right arm did the same thing it locked up and froze. The right shoulder slouched to the ground the left was straight across. I to would have noticed this before implants since I was so compulsive about my looks and my body. Implants will sure make you not be so compulsive or that alone would drive you crazy. This is real and Yes it was from my implants. Or did it happen while we was bed ridden sick and could barely move? It could be that scar tissue was forming trying to protect us and it went clear to our arms???? I still don't know this mysterious freak of nature, or mysterious implant symptom. God Bless!!!!!!!!!!

Guest guest
Thanks, Al! I have some wonderful friends who have been keeping watch over me. I will keep you in mind should they be busy. Attempted to go out today but the bumpy sidewalks made my head spin. It's been most difficult to just sit and do nothing. Sensitive to light and sound, but feeling better each day. <3Kendra > > Hey, Kendra. I don't want to phone 'cuz I can imagine your hurting head doesn't need the stimulation. Just want to know how you're feeling. Call if you need anything or if you need us to hangout with you if Joe needs/wants to go out. > > Love, > Al >
