These are some of the references (there are 42 in all) cited in the

Fat section of the joint German-Austrian-Swiss " Referenzwerte für

die Nährstoffzuführ, 1. Auflage 2000 " , the authoritative (non-

Government) nutritional recommendations for those three countries.

I have selected the English-language references. If you get a chance

to find them and read them (I haven't!) please let me know what
