Guest guest
Hello Janet, could you pls tell a little bit more about it? How high were your antibodies? Since how long do you take Low Dose Naltrexone? What supplements do you take? I am also on LDN but it is only 2 months now. TPO antibodies did not decreased but neither they went up. For me it would be early to expect anything, as I know, at least 6 months needed... Your answer would be highly appreciated! Thanks, Emese
Guest guest
That's good and all but none of my doctors would prescribe it. Because according to them there is NO treatment for this I've all ready beat that horse to death with those idiots. I can't get any help with Hashimotos none of them are willing to treat it they'll only treat the gland not the cause of it's destruction. Guest guest
When I was first diagnosed 3 years ago, my antibodies were greater than 600. Diet, PABA, thyroid adaptogens, nothing seemed to lower antibodies. I started LDN 3 months ago, within the first month my antibodies were down to the low 200's, and I had to decrease the amount of T4 I was taking. My memory seems better, brain fog is definitely better. If someone were having trouble getting LDN, they could call their local compounding pharmacists and ask which doctors were prescribing it, then schedule with one of those doctors. Or you could order it from out of the country, not sure I would trust that though. I take thyroid support by Formulations, immunoG PRP by BIH, 5-htp, vitamin C, stress B's by , omega 3's by DFH, astaxanthin by MD formulas. Has anyone had success in treating dry eyes? Guest guest
Janet, thank you very much for your answer! May I ask a last one: what was your LDN dosing? For dry eyes, I use the Refresh Optive Lubricant Eye Drops, maybe it worth trying. I bought mine on ebay, it was cheaper than in the shops. Guest guest
I had plugs put in to help with my severe dry eyes it helped a little but not much. I go back to my doctor at the end of the month, I have no clue on what he'll try next. Even tho the plugs didn't help me they might help you, only an Ophthalmologist can put the plugs in your eyes properly. I hope this was helpful Edith To: "Thyroiditis " <Thyroiditis > Sent: Wednesday, May 9, 2012 7:39 AM Subject: Re: Decreasing autoimmune response When I was first diagnosed 3 years ago, my antibodies were greater than 600. Guest guest
Hi Janet, I have had GREAT success in treating dry eye with BioTears made by BioSyntrx. I canNOT put drops into my eyes so this has worked out well for me although they are a bit expensive. Also, I have heard from a few people that Thera Tears Nutrition supplements are helpful, but have NOT tried them myself. FWIW, I had TPO antibodies over 20,000 (YES Twenty-thousand) in 2004 and they are now down to 87 as of last fall and I have NOT used LDN. I cleaned up my diet by eating mostly Paleo (Cave's Man Diet) and also replenished and balanced vitamin, mineral, female hormones, and Adrenal Fatigue etc. I also got rid of a few nasty bugs, too. Best wishes, Bj > > When I was first diagnosed 3 years ago, my antibodies were greater than 600. Diet, PABA, thyroid adaptogens, nothing seemed to lower antibodies.
