Guest guest
No, but it helps.. Your own mileage may vary. I'm just speaking from my own experience.. (9+ years in a stachy/asp/pen building that had made me very ill by the time I finally got out. ) Also, I don't have a " protocol " . I'm not any kind of doctor or medical professional. My areas of expertise pre-illness were computer-related. So, its not " my protocol " , its yours as well to modify or adapt. I just read a lot. I'm not one of Dr. Shoemaker's patients but I have the highest respect for him. His writings have helped me understand a lot. He is very far ahead of anybody else in this. Despite what some would say he's always been very kind to me when we have exchanged email. He has answered questions I have emailed him. There are things that I have followed that aren't part of his work, we all learn as we can and try to put together a hypothesis of what works for us. We have to be intelligent consumers of medical services. But Shoemaker is clearly the best. He has helped a lot of people, many, even most of whom have gotten better to varying extents and went on with their lives, so you OFTEN wont see them here on this list. Thousands of people. ( Also keep in mind that the insurance companies, big, careless builders, real estate interests wanting to see damaged properties without having to remediate them, etc. HATE Shoemaker because he is right. They really hate him. he wins court cases and now, they are being exposed again and again for their lies. They don't like that at all, because for years they pretty much got away with saying that mold illness didn't exist. Those " stakeholders " would do almost anything to turn back the clock a few years to the era before Shoemaker.) Compared to other doctors, his prices seem reasonable, also they are covered by most insurance BECAUSE HE DOCUMENTS PEOPLE'S ISSUES WELL. I would really like to meet Dr. Shoemaker too but for various reasons I can't just go down there to see him now.
