Just another comment re probiotics – most need to be kept in fridge, warmth (I’m told) will activate the enzymes. So if not in fridge when purchased and put in cooler-bag, may not be effective.

Hi ...

Cassie,

Maybe I got my words tangled up! (not the first time!). Can’t recall exactly but some probiotics will be ‘killed off’ by an antibiotic, and there are some not affected – these hopefully are able to maintain some gut flora while the abx are wiping all the others out.

As to dose, I’d go by what is recommended on the product – sometimes I do 2/day (like now) when I feel I need more. I stopped cos I was going well... So it thought...maybe my gut can’t function properly anymore...

.... Therese – haven’t tried Yakult – anyone else done so? Any satisfaction?

....Nan – maybe I’ll ask about the prevacid (do have a bit of gerd, not serious) but anything that will help things move along!!

Thx all,

joy
