i am so glad that lou has good days but please please plsae get that gun away

from him hide it give it away give it to a friend hide it in teh attack, his

memory will waiver and his knowledge of proper gun handling can be seriously

questioned and you certainly dont want any accidents some of our lbd'ers talk

about suicide as they are confused adn unhappy becuase they have no control of

their lives, i had to sell my dads gun, he had it in his closet and for the

longest time he could get to it, i checked it often and one day i checked it and

sometime he had loaded it and he denied it, then i deicded it was history. the

lbd'ers lose their sense of right and wrong is conmpromised and that is the

biggest fear and if he has anytype of scary hallucinations he could use the gun

so please please i am begging you empty teh bullets out ot chambers and hide it,

sell it, give it away, something just so he cant find it, and then tell a fib

say that well you said it

needed to be cleaned so i took it to teh gun shop to get it cleaned for you adn

maybe he will forget it, if not just say they are running behind, i worry now

for your safety. hugs sharon

working.Tonight,

however he went for a walk & took his gun. Lou Jr.called said dad just showed

his weapon to a

friend & she is following him home. I still trust that lou is lou , someday I'll

get it.(maybe maybe maybe!!)

someday,maybe.

We are in PA. Met a couple, husband has LBD. We are becoming friends & support

for 1 another.

I read all the e mails & my heart is heavy . God bless everyone & stay strong

for as we know life can

be difficult & so

unfair.                                                                         \

Hi MJ,

I am new to the sight and not sure of your situation.  However, I think about

how hard it would have been if my Father had this disease.  His personality was

much stronger than my Mom's.  I think the personality goes the the nth power w/

this disease.  Degeneration of the brain is not an easy thing to deal with by

anyone affected.

I, of course, agree that the gun should be gone.  Now is the time to use white

lies..  They are extremely useful.

My Mom is basically wheelchair bound (which is really not a bad thing at this

point) and can only walk w/ assistance, but her belief is that she can walk if

given the chance.  She has been terrified walking past the stairs as she feels

she is going to fall down them.  This morning she is in full delusion.  She has

been yelling at me for not cooperating.  (I am not a morning person-I love you

Mom even though you ARE a morning person)  She needs a notebook w/ some figures

to tell Ralph (boyfriend hallucination).  She usually brushes her teeth alone,

wheels into the bedroom and puts her shirt on.  She will  yell to me that she is

going in the bedroom.  This morning she went to the top of the stairs and

decided to make an attempt to get downstairs for the notebook.  I caught her, as

I was a short distance away.  I stay out of sight so she thinks she is alone,

but I am always lurking in the background :-)  She thinks out loud, so that is

very

helpful.

It's not the destination.  It's the journey.

Best of luck on your journey.
