Guest guest
I recently had free T level done by endocrinologist. Results: Free Testosterone <0.50 pg/ml LOW (0.90-3.80) Endo doc wanted to give me Androgel but everything I've read said that it is far too strong. It makes me wonder if she is clueless. Gynecology nurse practitioner gave me a RX for 1% testosterone cream 30 gm with instructions " sig .5 gm to inner thighs every 2-3 days " Is this considered a low dose? I tried compounded T some time ago and it made me feel worse. However, the " compounding specialist " didn't know that I had to get an optimal E level before starting T. Finally, gyno wants to take ovaries if hysterectomy is performed. I told her that I didn't want to feel worse with even less T. She said that at my age (56 and post meno on hrt), adrenals make most T. Anybody have any thoughts on all of this? Thanks. Colleen
