Guest guest
>Replace the couters immediately! Recently there was a big news article in the New York Newsday (google it) about radiation and granite. Seems granite is becoming alot more toxic these days-they don't know why. But the guy who came to check on this womean's counter in the story said that " well, its ok but keep your pregnant daughter at least 10 feet away from the counter at al times! " I couldn't believe that! So get rid of it-I actually have a corian counter and its the BEST thing in my kitchen-go with it!
Guest guest
It is not that it is more toxic, granite can include radioisotopes naturally. It might depend on where it comes from. You know Uranium comes out of rock, right? They mine it and concentrate it. Might be the reason why most buildings are made out of sedimentary rocks like sandstone, and limestone, at least around here. > >Replace the couters immediately! > Recently there was a big news article in the New York Newsday (google it) about radiation and granite.
