" While I am 100% all for informing the public of the potential health threat from mold & toxins, the above is not correct - I don't think. Will " almost certainly make you sick " ???? To me, a statement like the above helps to further illustrate the need for one, consistent, advisory message to be issued by Federal agencies as much as a statement that says mold can't harm anyone. " Mold will almost certainly make you sick " = potential misdiagnoses of possible other causes of illness. " Mold can't harm anyone " = potential misdiagnoses of possible mold induced illnesses. " An exposure to an excessive amount of mold may cause a variety of symptoms of ill health in some people " = if one is sick, consider mold as a possible cause, but don't rule out every other possible cause without more information.
