Guest guest
Live, I'm, too, sorry I was a bitch, but I am in the same boat as you. Funny as you mention your handle. Look at your e-mail address. With a little humor, one could tag that name on several physicians we have all been to, " Quack " . I know I have labeled a few that name and many worse. About Dr. Rea. I was not saying negative things about him. When I first saw the TV show about him, I was horrified that a doctor would actually give people shots with jet fuel in them. (Of course, the media always picks the most outrageous thing to capitolize on). It is the same process as giving your children measels, and other immunizations. They inject the live part of the disease so your body can produce antibodies to fight them. In actuality, all he was doing is giving plan allergy shots. I never knew that allergy shots were small bits of what you were allergic to anyway. After learning that, I researched his center a little further. In fact, someone at MAYO gave me the site. They would not put it in my records, but handed it to me on a blank piece of paper. He has different levels of treatment. The most extreme treatment is to have someone living in a totally sterile state and some people actually get weaker because the " natural " bacteria, allergens, etc. we breath everyday can no longer be fought off by the body. If you are not exposed to some things, then your body loses it's " memory " , for lack of a better word, on how to deal with them. Again, as I have said before, that is an extremely small percentage of people. My body is the body of weird, seems like i have a magnet on my forehead attracting strange reactions. That is why I choose not to try him. (Plus in the extreme cases, I don't think the living accomodations would last a day with me.) In people like us, who have been not only exposed to high levels of mold and also have the metobolic make up some of us possess, out bodies do not work in this way. Typically, an allergist will tell you that the more you are exposed to something, the less allergic you get to it. (We " grow " out of many childhood allergies). However, when the toxins get so great, and our immune system can't fight it, we end up in the shape we are in and we end up in this group. We are more suspectible (sp) to chemicals, etcl., and unfortunately, I don't see any relief in the future for me. Dr. Rea made the mistake of thinking reporters wanted to help people learn, when all they wanted to do is shut up another person who says mold makes you sick. Is this a better way to put it? Guest guest
What can I say. Its a jungle out there right now, and some powerful folks probably feel as if their backs are to the wall. People are starting to see big cracks in their facade. By attacking people like Dr. Rea and Dr. Shoemaker, they are trying to set back the clock a few years, because they are far ahead of most of the other doctors out there in getting results. I feel that part of the struggle has a cause in the debates on toxic environmental chemicals, product liability laws, and climate change >Dr. Rea made the mistake of thinking reporters wanted to help people learn, when all they wanted to do is shut up another person who says mold makes you sick. AMEN to that.. exactly.. There is an interesting article in the New York Times today about the milk poisoning drama unfolding in China. It reminds me a lot of the issues with mold and toxics and public health vs. government/industry collusion and corruption here. MANY families lost children to kidney failure because of this tainted milk (which was tainted because of pure greed, sellers added melamine, a nephrotoxic chemical never found in food, its used in plastics(!) to the milk to make it appear to have more protein in tests.) and the Chinese government, like ours, is very pro-industry. There really is almost no accountability. Its the same chemical that killed a lot of pets here in the US.. BTW.. they had imported ingredients from China - that were tainted. The people in China who want accountability are doing their best. But the beast of the past is holding on tight and not letting go. And using every trick in the playbook Read it.. its pretty interesting to see these things discussed. Similar issues here are only rarely discussed with the same level of candor in the US media. (of course, if we were in China, we might be thrown in jail for discussing them there!) * Courts Compound Pain of China's Tainted Milk<http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/17/world/asia/17milk.html> * http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/17/world/asia/17milk.html *Tainted infant formula is the latest in a long string of food and drug safety problems that have exposed corruption among China's regulators.*
