Got my latest labs at 6 weeks of taking 25mcg of Levothyroxin. TSH 1.94,

T4

Free 1.4 and T3 Free 2.9. I had 178 level TPO antibodies in October and

just

under 1cm nodule on right side of thyroid.

Doctor is adding 5mcg of liothyronine (generic Cytomel) since my T3

number was

not as desireable instead of adding more T4 which I read was a good

approach for

Hashimoto's to take a combo anyhow.

I am suppose to start with half a pill the first week to see how I react

before

working up to full 5mcg dose. I am a little nervous about taking T3

after

reading the side effects as I had a couple of episodes last week of high

anxiety

and near panic attack feeling like I could not get enough oxygen at

bedtime.

Doctor thought it was a adrenal rush due to my overthinking at bedtime

and

having trouble falling asleep as a routine issue. I use a MP3 and audio

book to

help get me to fall asleep faster. Is 5mcg a pretty low or standard dose

of T3.

What has been other people's experience with this med.

My doctor seems to be okay with generics and my pharmacy will not fill

name

brand unless script is written specifically for it. Anyone have issues

with

these generics Levothyroxin and Liothyronine? Kristal
