I take carnosine. I have noticed that when I have it, (its expensive

and so I don't take a lot of it) my inflammation levels seem to trend

downward, subjectively.

I also have taken histidine/beta-alanine together (precursors of

carnosine in muscle) which are cheaper.. They increase carnosine in

the body.

Interestingly, there are high levels of carnosine in the nose, leading

one to believe that it may be neuroprotective.

It is expensive! I saw it at Whole Foods, 500 mg, by Jarrow for I

believe 49.95!! However exact same product online for 27.83. I'm

going to try the combination Carnosine and zinc called Pepzin though

first. It has less Carnosine in it but the combination is supposed to

work well on GI which is a problem of mine and it is only 17.00
