Guest guest
I just googled, and here is one page. This is all pretty typical, and the important part of it is the protocol. Don't worry about the how or the why, that is not so important, esp since they really do not know, they all have their pet theories. The healing protocols do work, however, and that is the gist of what one would like to get out of it. Dr. Crook's book is like a bible for this kind of thing, I saw him speak some years back, but could not talk any doc into prescribing the antifungals (grrr). Now I know there are various herbs that also work fine, even if one does not have an rx. It can all be done at home. Just get well informed, and know you are in for a rough ride, probably. We all have to go through it; and it is important to modify the regimen according to what your body can handle from day to day, I had to start with everything at a super small dose, like 1/4 whatever they said. 1. antifungal of some kind 2. colon binder or cleanse of some type 3. probiotics of some kind 4. diet modification, and digestive enzymes 5. exercise, such as light walking or whatever works for you. 6. sauna for detox, or hot salt baths (this really helps, I took the baths daily for a long time. Sauna is better, but I did not have one.) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - http://www.chirokelly.com/detox/candida.html Die-Off Reaction When a large number of Candida are killed off during the initial period of treatment, a great amount of toxic material is suddenly released, resulting in the die-off or Herxheimer reaction. This can produce certain uncomfortable effects such as flu symptoms (stuffiness, headache, general aches, diarrhea), skin rashes, vaginal irritation/discharge, or even something unusual such as numbness in the legs or mental confusion. The exact symptoms are neither important nor do they lend themselves to explanation. The die-off reaction normally lasts from one day to no longer than a week. One of the features of the above program is that the normal die-off reaction, if any, is minimized by the detoxification action of both the psyllium and bentonite since they absorb most of the toxins before they are unleashed into the body. If symptoms are severe, it may be necessary to cut back the amount of Caproyl added to the mixture. When symptoms subside, gradually increase the Caproyl over the course of several weeks. - - - - - - - another good detox protocol is at detox group, they have a link to a good protocol, I have used some of that one, and found it to be helpful. best wishes, kathryn
Guest guest
I had a terrible burning rash when I was put on Nystatin one time, before I knew what 'die off' was all about and thought I had poison ivy. The Nystatin protocol lasted 6 months and I had the rash the whole time. LATER I read in Nystatin package instructions that if rash developed, I should have called my doctor, so it was that. I had all these poison ivy salves and soaps and ointments and couldn't figure out why it lasted so long. If I had known what it was, I probably should have cut back on the dose of Nystatin but I would not have believed it could have caused a rash like that. It was a burning, blistery rash, similar to what I have gotten in the past from poison ivy and I have poison ivy around the house but it was in the crook of my forearms...right where blood vessels come to the surface there. I'm sure now toxins exiting there where the blood meets the surface so closely. The give-away was that when I finished the Nystatin, the rash cleared up....!!! --- In , " kl_clayton " <kl_clayton@...> wrote: > > I just googled, and here is one page.
