Guest guest
You have a very, very serious infection. My father caught an MRSA infection, last year, while hospitalized, and had to remain in the hospital for 32 days. Once the MRSA gets into your blood, it can only be treated with much, much stronger antibiotics, that can only be administered intravenously, in the hospital. I suggest that, while you are waiting for the doxycycline to work, that you use a nasal rinse, to flush out the mucous and phlegm from your sinus, nose and throat. These fluids, produced by the MRSA, act as a reservoir for the infectious material, and will constantly re- infect you, if not flushed out. My father used " NeilMed Sinus Rinse " , which is very inexpensive, and available in most drug stores. Stand over a sink, while using it, and you will be amazed at how much junk you will cough out. I did not believe that my father's sinuses could contain such a volume of mucous and phlegm, as I saw coming out of him. Naturally, you will never hear a doctor saying any of the above. Though, in all honesty, my father was given his first sample sinus rinse kit, by his ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor. You might consider confirming this with your ENT. Most importantly, if you feel yourself getting worse, and your doctor is not immediately available, run, run, run, to the hospital emergency room. ............................................... --- In , " amydent9 " <amydent9@...> wrote: > > I ahve MRSA in sinus and nose. > > has anyone dealt wiht this? > > I'm starting on doxycycline 2x a day., this becasue I avhe lyme also > and doxy someitmes is good for lyme. > > My dr suggests dr shoemakers idea that bactin or rixampin /sulfa drugs > would be good. > > I also read that MAnuka honey was scientifically tested and is as good > as bacteria for MRSA. > > any ideas? > > amy >

Guest guest
I use a type of ionic silver solution as a sinus wash to keep my sinuses free of infection. I used to use Soveriegn silver brand, but it got pricey, so now I make it myself, which is not too hard. good luck, > > I ahve MRSA in sinus and nose. > > has anyone dealt wiht this? > > I'm starting on doxycycline 2x a day., this becasue I avhe lyme also > and doxy someitmes is good for lyme. > > My dr suggests dr shoemakers idea that bactin or rixampin /sulfa drugs > would be good. > > I also read that MAnuka honey was scientifically tested and is as good > as bacteria for MRSA. > > any ideas? > > amy >
