Guest guest
The idea of a government-funded web site that would allow members of the public to look up any doctor or academic and see their corporate/government/nonprofit connections/grants/etc. is a REALLY good one. This would be simple to implement and it would be incredibly effective in showing some of the causes of the conflicts of interest, stonewalling and bad science, work not in the public interest. Money is tight and the temptation to take it must be great. They as well as we should be able to weigh the risks and effects of corruption.
