Guest guest
Thanks ! We were ready for what was comming, but after he left the NCIU because he had pulmonary hypertention at birth, everything started to become normal. He just started to be a very active and curious baby as any other baby. I wish all parents with a kid with diferent abilities could experiece the same than my husband and I. Because we feel an enormous happiness, wich is hard to explain, every time that a doctor or a terapist say that Tommy is just developing as typical kid and he is giving signs of beign smart. We didn't expect this and we just keep praying for him! Do you have a child with MSD? If so, How did you find out about it? My son was positive for the classical Down syndrome, but for what I have read in the mosaic down syndrome website and what my son's therapist told us, Tommy seems to be a case of MDS. I want to test him again, but my husband thinks that it may not be necessary becaue for him there are not diferences between DS and MDS. I would like to know more about the diferences between DS and MDS. Kisses and hugs, ROSA ________________________________ > To: MosaicDS > From: christine.ascencio@... > Date: Sat, 26 Jul 2008 02:01:08 +0000 > Subject: Welcome > > > Congratulations on your son. Guest guest
Hi to All of our New Families My name is Donna and I am grandmother to Adam who is 6 and has mds. Adam was diagnosed at 4 days and he is absolutely grandma's boy. Adam has had a few issues along the way, but nothing that we haven't been able to handle. As a baby, he had some feeding issues, but he is eating fine now other than being a little picky. He has been trying some new things in the cafeteria at school this year. He has a speech delay. He can speak, but has trouble forming thoughts and putting them into words. He is mastering answering yes and no questions instead of just repeating the question back to us. You have come to a good place to make friends and get advice from the real experts - parents just like you. Please tell us all about your child. I love to read everyones stories. I am also the Membership Officer for IMDSA, so if you have any questions about becoming a member of the group, feel free to ask me.
