Guest guest
I found a brand that has Omega 3-6-9 pharmacutical grade w/lemon oil only 11.00 for 90. Natrol is the brand. No allergens in it either. I tolerate them very well
Guest guest
I've also heard that Flaxseed is really good for inflammation. I use it on my cereal, in yougert, mix in muffins and you can also buy it in capsules like the Omega oil. Anyone else tried it? Guest guest
a, I've seen those blends, but I really know very little about them.. Is there any reason to supplement Omega 6's when we already get so much? I eat a lot of olive oil.. so I get my Omega 9's that way.. but its not so common in processed food.. (prepared foods have lots of Omega 6's) I was just thinking, there was a really good explanation on the importance of eating a high ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids in the incredibly good Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility " Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging " paper that just came out.. Did people check that out? The link was posted by Barb a while back.. I printed it out- the whole thing, and I've been working my way through it.. Its incredible.. They have a web site to spotlight it where you can download the whole paper or just chapters.. http://www.agehealthy.org/ There is also some good easy to understand stuff on lipids on Wikipedia.. (lots of refs!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-9_fatty_acid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-6_fatty_acid On Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 2:40 PM, a Townsend <kmtown2003@...> wrote: > I found a brand that has Omega 3-6-9 pharmacutical grade w/lemon oil > only 11.00 for 90. Guest guest
Yes, Dean also posted recommendation to read " Inflamation Nation " , and I thumbed through it and it suggests that supplementation more Omega 3's, so I got Borage Oil on that recommendation and I find them easily to digest than fish oil, no burps at all, even with larger capsules. I didn't buy the book Inflamation Nation but read excerpts from it, so can't tell anyone more than that. I use borage oil on my skin also. I will try to find link to info if I can. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > I was just thinking, there was a really good explanation on the > importance of eating a high ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids in >
