Guest guest
What do you mean by " work " ? To do what? So it's not very advisable for mold sensitive people (we mostly react to toxins, not mold itself)
Guest guest
I had read that if you let it mist for 48 hrs or something like that it will kill the mold, and I also read that its good simply to help stay healthy, but its $40 just for the oil, and another 130 for the nebulizing diffuser. > > I was just reading about treating mold and symptoms with thieves > > essential oil, does anyone know if it works? > > > > >
Guest guest
This is something you need not think about right now and will not help your situation at all at this very moment I believe. I am not the know it all so listen to everyones advice and make your decisions acordinly. If miney is tight that you have to take care of the most important things first. Just my opinion based on my own experience... Chris... From: TheBeth <thebethinator@...> Subject: [] Re: Thieves essential oil - does it work? Guest guest
What kind of essential oil (i.e pine, oregano, what plant) and which mold species? If the last twenty years of research has taught us anything it would seem to strongly prove that simply 'killing' mold does nothing to reduce its toxic and allergic effects on people. Also, if the cause of mold growth, i.e. moisture, is not fixed, it will come back very quickly. It has to be removed physically. Guest guest
I don't know. All I know is that the owner of Curves here, owes her life to Thieves oil. She did correct the moisture issue (that's an obvious necessity), but the diffusing of that oil not only addressed the mold structurally, but health-wise as well. If you set up a wholesale account with the company that sells this (Young Living Essential Oils), the oil is only $31.75 and you can get one diffuser for only $50! I know Pat would gladly have payed much more for the results she got..... no medical help could even touch it. Guest guest
I'm new to this forum. Recently I have had a horrible exposure to mold in a mobile home and had to move out. Tried to diffuse essential oils, ozone, removed carpet, pieces of walls, etc...nothing worked. I can't stay in the space for an hour. Start itching all over, skin crawling, skin burning, arthritis symptoms and more. I will look through some of the archives for similar experiences. My symptoms have been so severe over the course of a few months that I thought I was going crazy. Good to be out...now I have to get it out of my body. I think it is fusarium or stachobotrys mycotoxins. The oils may work in certain circumstances, didn't work for me. (any help with resources or discussion of similar experience would be helpful) > > I had read that if you let it mist for 48 hrs or something like that > > it will kill the mold, and I also read that its good simply to help > > stay healthy, but its $40 just for the oil, and another 130 for the > > nebulizing diffuser. > > > > ------------------------------------ > > FAIR USE NOTICE: > >
Guest guest
IMO Does anybody have any evidence that this thief oil snake oil product is NOT a MLM or a scam? Not that I have seen. I think that when people promote a product for this important purpose, they should attempt to give the MSDS and EPA registration number, or at least give credible references as to its utility. Alll I can find out about this product makes me think it is a scam. " diffusing essential oils " is not going to kill mycotoxins. Some mold eat oils, too, BTW. The promoters of it are incredibly aggressive with their claims, but they cannot possibly be true. On Sun, Nov 16, 2008 at 11:43 PM, karla berger <bearger10@...> wrote: > I don't know. Guest guest
I went to the website for Thieves (Scam) oil. Based upon the description of the product I doubt very much that this product will stop mold growth. To promote such fantasy there should be an EPA registration number as well as peer reviewed published research that demonstrates the efficacy of this product. None exist. Jack D.
