Guest guest
What meds are you on and how long have you been on it? It may not be thyroid related. Possibly be a gluted issue or something else. Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is "JUST DIARRHEA" and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as "top liar". and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Is it OK to cease the diarrhea and the pain? It is one of the symptoms of CFS. Fragrance
Guest guest
Hi Fragrance, Did you ever get rid of the Candida Albicans? That can cause severe gut pain and diarrhea. If you have ever taken antibiotics it is likely you have it. Candida manifests in many different forms. Diarrhea causes dehydration and you can also lose your electrolyte nutrients. I would advise you to DRINK plenty of WATER. Buy packets of electrolyte mixes; make and drink them at least a couple times a day, more if needed. Consuming too MUCH magnesium in pill form will cause diarrhea, as our bodies can only absorb up to 30% of magnesium the rest is expelled from the body via loose bowels. Always take magnesium with food. Also, taking too much vitamin C or D can also cause diarrhea. L-Glutamine, GLA and NAC can also cause diarrhea Some of the common causes of diarrhea are food poisoning, bacterial infections, bacterial enterocolitis, parasites, viral infections, viral gastroenteritis, yeast, Candida, infections by other organisms, delayed food sensitivities such as wheat, dairy corn etc, food allergies, certain medications such as antibiotics, diseases of the intestines (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis), IBS, inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption (where the body is unable to adequately absorb certain nutrients from the diet), hyperthyroidism or over-medicated hypOthyroidism, diabetes and over exercising. All the literature I have read says to see your doctor if constant diarrhea lasts over 24 hours. Make sure to tell the doctor if there is blood, pus, oil (fat), odd texture or an odd color. I have NOT heard that CFS causes diarrhea. It is likely something else that is common in CFS patients such as food intolerances, yeast over-growth, infection etc. CFS and FM patients seem to have association with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) - if you believe this is actually a seperate disease. I feel so bad that you have been repeatedly treated so poorly that is NOT right at all. Please hang in there! {{HUGS}} Hope this helps, ~Bj > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. > > > > I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is " JUST DIARRHEA " and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as " top liar " . and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Guest guest
hi fragrance, i'm sorry for the way you've been treated also. everyone needs to be treated with respect and to have their problems addressed. sometimes a bacterial condition called C-Diff (clostridium deficile) can cause multilple watery or loose stools daily. although some people catch it after taking antibiotics, it's also possible to catch it from someone who has it. your stool would have to be tested for it, and if it's positive for C-Diff, then the dr. will order a special antibiotic to kill the bacteria. these tests are not usually done in an E.R, so please check to see if your hospital has a clinic where you can be tested. in the mean time, you should be taking probiotics or yogurt with live cultures, and an anti diarrhea medication, according to the directions. drink a lot of liquids and take a good vitamin with minerals. i hope you find some relief soon. lois > > > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. > > > > > > I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is " JUST DIARRHEA " and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as " top liar " . and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Guest guest
I agree with what Lois has said. My mother has had C-Diff (aka Clostridium difficile) four times in the last year and a half. This last time was especially virulent, every time they thought it was cleared, it hit again for a couple of weeks in a ferocious way. The antibiotics used to treat it causes a bit of a vicious cycle. Maintaining fluid intake is critical! You could quickly become seriously dehydrated causing electrolyte imbalance! Keep your potassium up with bananas and other potassium rich foods. I would also encourage you drinking something that gives you back electrolytes (like Gatorade...but there are some better than that). The culture for C-Diff takes 48--78 to get results. If it continues, *demand* they test you for it!Hope you get to feeling better! Here is a link to more info on it:http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/c-difficile/DS00736 To: Thyroiditis Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2012 5:28 PM Subject: Re: Have severe stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly hi fragrance, i'm sorry for the way you've been treated also. everyone needs to be treated with respect and to have their problems addressed. sometimes a bacterial condition called C-Diff (clostridium deficile) can cause multilple watery or loose stools daily. although some people catch it after taking antibiotics, it's also possible to catch it from someone who has it. your stool would have to be tested for it, and if it's positive for C-Diff, then the dr. will order a special antibiotic to kill the bacteria. these tests are not usually done in an E.R, so please check to see if your hospital has a clinic where you can be tested. in the mean time, you should be taking probiotics or yogurt with live cultures, and an anti diarrhea medication, according to the directions. drink a lot of liquids and take a good vitamin with minerals. i hope you find some relief soon. lois > > > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. > > > > > > I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is "JUST DIARRHEA" and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as "top liar". and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Guest guest
hi nancy, it used to be that there were 3 separate testings of the stool specimen before a conclusion was reached. was that true for your mom too? lois > > > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. > > > > > > I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is " JUST DIARRHEA " and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as " top liar " . and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Guest guest
C-diffI believe it is only one stool test I was having these issues for years after I had my gall bladder out...my stomach doctor said I should stay away from fats but no matter what I ate it was happening then later I was having reaction to certain foods but could not figure out what was making me vomit so I had a colonoscopy to see if It was a gluten intolerance or something like that and the only thing that came back was c-diff and I was not even losing weight...anyway I took the antibiotic's and did a stool sample if you can not get it to the lab right away put it in the freezer this is what my doctor told me to get the best results and call and ask the lab when they have the pick up so you can get it there right before pick up. Good luck. I felt so much better after and starting to take probotics every day and I suggest seeing a homeopathic doctor who can suggest some digestive aids to rebuild your healthy bacterica it really made a huge difference for me. I also found out via the homeopathic doctor that I had a wheat allergy so I do follow for most of the time a gluten free diet and staying away from the other foods that she food I lost 20 pounds. I do stay away from vegetable oils I only use Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Virgin Coconut oil and Kerry Gold Irish grass fed butter Ciao-Ange To: Thyroiditis Sent: Mon, March 12, 2012 9:32:11 AMSubject: Re: Have severe stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly hi nancy, it used to be that there were 3 separate testings of the stool specimen before a conclusion was reached. was that true for your mom too? lois > > > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. > > > > > > I went to the E.R., they hate me so they said it is "JUST DIARRHEA" and do some routine check with blood with no sincerity to figure out what is the problem. some healthy patients in the waiting room slam me as "top liar". and the doctor there just told me to take imodium. Guest guest
Yes, The nurses and doctors always abuse me as they wish in the E.R.s. Two months ago they even called security guards to detain me and beat me, and forced me to stay in the mental unit with a group of psychiatry patients for a week. I even called Chinese consulate to protest against their persecution. Well, yes, I am asian. I am a new comer to N.America. But I am NOT interested or engaged in their world, life and affairs. While I have to speak out when my basic human rights are abused, whoever they are, powerful people? Even the Chinese govt won't dare to persecute polticial dissidents in such a way, and the case will be exposed internationally by western medias. But they can persecute any people they dislike. Even a dog has the right to survive on this land. When would they stop persecuting a helpless female patient that they don't know to fulfill their evil nature? Guest guest
Fragrance, Again, I am sorry for the way you have been treated. As mentioned, everyone needs to be treated with respect and to have their problems addressed. Since, that is out of our control you must do whatever you need to make that happen. Again, sorry this happened to you. For anyone who may not know, women with HypOthyroidism used to be thrown into insane asylum institutions and left there to die before the 1960s. Is the diarrhea gone? If not, please ask your dr to test for the C-diff and Canadia. Also, anything else you thing may be causing you to be so ill. I hope you are feeling better. Best wishes, ~Bj > > > > > > > > > Have stomache and diarrhea for a week constantly, and at least 5 times of diarrhea everyday and I lost 10-15 pounds fast in just a few days, now the symtoms continue. Guest guest
Fragrance, are you in the US now? If so, what state? This is insane! You might want to see legal counsel...this is unacceptable conduct!
