Guest guest
I ahd a detoxigenomic test from genova labs. this test is not covered by insurance. I recommend this test becasue it will help you determine if you ahve trouble with certain meds/certain liver /detox pathways etc. the dr recieves a list/or acutally drs know which meds do go through which pathways/ and thus can determine what meds are bad for you. The lab and everything I've heard about genetics says that these results are genetic /(inherited). I tend to question this based on epigenetics. (wiki that to learn more) and I wonder if toxic exposure/dental things/infections etc could cause these issues.I had mercury. root canl and molds and infections., also second hand smoke daily as a child. THIS TEST COMMENTS THAT SECOND HAND SMOKE IS BAD, cant detox well. p450 1A1, 1B1 2c9 phase 2 detox COMT = reduced clearance of dopamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine from neural synapses SOD superoxide dismutase=primary antioxidant enzyme within the mitochondria of cells, take anitoxidants and manganese. Increased risk of cardiomyopathy? (CAN ANYONE COMMENT ON WHAT TESTS TO GET ER THIS?) NAt2 I114T R197 Q = na acytly transferease, gut and liver detox K268R GSTP1, in brain and lungs detox =glutathion s transferase, it says ensure availablity of glutahione precursors and cofactors, eg methione, na acetylcysteine, glutamine, glycine, magnesioum, and b6. GLutathione deplketion may be offset by alpha lipoic acid, miltk thistle, taurine. onoins garlic leeks,m broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage lae brussel sprouts cand increase glutahione and reduce cancer risk. consume an antioxidant rich diet. ANYOONE WHO HAS similar test results/knows of a genetics chat group like these tests/ or info re these things please contact me, Amy
