Guest guest
Hi Chuck: I've never seen the Medical Word Book, but since I consider you an outstanding authority on many things, I would certainly trust your conjectures about it. While I'm here . . . I've wanted to say thank you to you for a long time -- and I'm sure many " listees " will join me in this sentiment. I think many of us owe you a debt of gratitude for being so giving of your time. You are so knowledgeable about so many things that you amaze me. Even more amazing is your humility. Based on the opinion you expressed about the Stedman's specialty books, I'm going to give them another look the next time I'm at Majors. To be very honest, I own only one specialty book from Stedman's -- " Pathology and Lab Medicine Words, " second edition, and I've been very disappointed in it. Perhaps it's the low point of the series, because I have only rarely found what I was looking for there. I own two HPI specialty books -- " Radiology Imaging Words and Phrases " and " Orthopedic/Neurology Words and Phrases " and I find them worth their weight in gold. I think there's a real possibility, however, that the fact that your research skills are superior to mine makes the Stedman's books more useful to you -- maybe I just don't know how to use them. Thanks again for your many contributions to this list. You've educated me about more things than I can number. Jayni
