Guest guest
Hi , As you probably know I do not take synthetic T4 meds but do take natural desiccated thyroid hormone plus SL-T3. And I do take more thyroid medication during the winter months than I do in the summer. I have been doing this for about six or seven years. It works well for me. Best, ~Bj > > Hi all - > > My doc increased my Levoxyl to 100 mcg about 4-5 months back, only to find that I'm now borderline hyper again. My last menstrual cycle at 23 days was the tipoff- that's usually my first symptom (I get more freq periods when my thyroid is overactive). And now I'm hungry a lot and have had trouble falling asleep last few nights. > > This happened to me before a few years ago, when I moved from CA to NY. I'm wondering if the cold weather is the culprit for the fluctuation. It was a big surprise to find my TSH was high then - it had been stable on 88 mcg Levoxyl for years. > > We are trying 100/88 every other day now, but when I did that before it still left my TSH low. > > Others w/ experience in this, I would appreciate your stories. > > Thanks, > >
Guest guest
Thanks, BJ - good to know that works for someone. I can't imagine what else is causing my thyroid to swing. > > > > Hi all - > > > > My doc increased my Levoxyl to 100 mcg about 4-5 months back, only to find that I'm now borderline hyper again.
