Guest guest
hi amy, so not breathing thru your nose is ok. s ENT told us people do breath thru their mouth. I guess it is easier if they do use their nose. DO you have any problems to speak of? Is her nose open? Did she have coanal atresia? Guest guest
thanx for responding amy, also had her tonsils and adnoids removed, l l/2 yrs ago, the coanl atresia has been done 5 times. Now they think she has a problem with her superglottis collapsing. this is giving her problems swallowing her secretions. she swallows some but not effectively. anyway we are being bronched again on thursday along with a nose dilation. we hope to have some positive news. we keep trying every 6 mos to get the trach out and it alsways seems there is another hurdle. they thought it was her collapsing airway now they think not, I guess we have to just keep trying. when we cap her she tolerates it for 10-30 mns but the secretions pool in her trach and then she coughs it off, anyway enough babling, thanx ofr your input.
