Guest guest
Well what can I say, is my best friend. We have been through hell and back and still wake with smile, well maybe not but deffinatly me. is not your every day run of the mill happy kid, has violent ways. The doctors are all pretty stumped at this because of the usual loveable nature of Down's children/adults. Oh well, is also non verbal, wich when you think of it, I would probaly get ticked off if I had no other way of comunicating other than sign, wich is kind of tricky with as well. Those cute little fingers don't always do what he wants them too and once again, he lashes out. He can be smiling one moment and the next he will be attacking you. Most everyone in my family and friends understand and just let him be. The more anyone feeds into it, the worse he gets. We have learned to not give him the reaction he is looking for, and with that he just redirects his energy. loves any Shrek movie or Toy story. He has a younger brother, my 13 year old, who thinks the world of and vice versa. My youngest son lives with his father, who is not 's. I live with my fiance Russ who has three boys as well. 11, Shayne 9, and 8, is also Autistic. He is very high functioning, so when Russ and I got together we already had a great respect for each others lives. We are one big happy family. I will continue the saga of our lives after I get some sleep, I work two jobs and need to rest up a bit for my day off on Saturday. Busy day, the only one off always gets filled up quick. I'll be back, goodnight/morning. Jodie
