Guest guest
Yes, I am a professional restorer, of course I have not worked in a long time because of my hypersensitivity. I am a museum quality restorer of objects, I stopped working on painting and furniture a long time ago because I knew I was sensitive to mold, and furniture gives you tennis elbow(LOL). Before I did objects,I had spent 15 years in photos. When I first became sick and realized I could not be around my things, I focused all my energy on decontamination protocols. Occasionally I post my opinion, usually it is ignored or ridiculed. The best thing for everyone to do is to safely store all items they wish to keep untill everyone in the house is totally well. For some people, after 5 years they can have their things back. Items that are framed behing glass can be re-framed-just make sure they toss the matting and backboard ,and start fresh. If you are not sensitized, a total cleaning of antiques should be enough. With furniture you can do this yourself.Paintings or photos, dolls, ect take a professionel cleaning. But if you or members of your family are sensitized, or do not recover-any exposure to these objects will be damaging, and can lead to the horrible-never-ending decline in health that so many of us suffer. Drs are just begining to come up with protocols for our treatment. I know of sensitized people who have stripped and re-finished their antique furniture, and still could not go near it years later, and of course they ruined the value by the re-finishing. If anyone has particular questions, as allways I am available to talk by e-mail or phone. Thanks,
