Guest guest
The only thing we have done biomedically speaking is DHA supplements from Nordic Naturals. Tristan wasn’t speaking at all and we were told her wouldn’t be able to because his apraxia was too bad. We had taught him some sign language and just gotten him a communication device from Dynavox when we started the supplements. Within 10 or so weeks he was speaking in phrases and his meltdowns went away. Sensory was better and he was happy. We had him on it for years while trying to get a diagnosis for him. When we moved to PA recently we took him off them to get a true evaluation. We got our dx of autism and he was started on meds. We never put him back on the supplements because we wanted to see if the meds were working. They do to a certain extent but not like the supplements so we obviously will be going back to them but other than that we are new to this…………. Guest guest
Hi Buffy, you really need to start from scratch then, consider diets (regardless of absence of GI issues), enzyme supplementation (also regardless of gastro issues), clean up the environment, reduce EMF exposure, consider detox protocols, consider antivirals, antifungals, antibacterials - there are loads of natural agents out there, you don't have to go the rx drug route (although lots of people have found them helpful - have a look into NIDS protocol - if you live near California you can try getting an appointment with Dr Goldberg, or if you are near NY try the NIDS clinic there... there is also a doc in Texas). I would recommend " Children with Starving Brains " as well as Jepson's book Changing the Course of Autism here is the amazon link http://tinyurl.com/5mk5zt there is a very good information for beginners on this website: treatingautism.co.uk (more sections will be added shortly, so watch that space natasa x > > > > The post below came through this morning in regards to something else > but it > > got me thinking.
