Guest guest
I know several of you had asked for updates on Tasha so I decided to post while she is sleeping. Tasha had TC surgery on Tuesday. Dr. Milhorat said it went well, the CSF flow in her lumbar spine greatly improved once the terminale was cut, and when the two ends settled down (they separated like a cut rubber band), the ends were 5.2 cm apart; he said this was a vast separation difference and made it quite obvious that she did need the surgery. She spent about 24 hours in the PACU and lying completely flat. Her drain came out on Thursday. Her foley was just removed this morning because she was slow to get up and get moving. She has done fairly well, but she says she cannot tell yet if she feels a difference in her lower extremities; since the foley was just removed it is too soon to tell if her bladder symptoms will improve or go away. Anyway, I guess all in all she is doing well. I know it will be long recovery if only for the fact that she will have to convince herself that she really can do things again that she has not been able to do for a long time. I will keep y'all updated on her recovery. Thank you for all the replies I got on suggesttions post op.
