Guest guest
Hi all, I am new to posting here but have read many of your posts. After my sons last VP shunt replacement in August he was referred to a sleep clinic. They found a breathing abnormality which is called central hypoventilation or complex sleep apnea. Basically he doesnt breathe in enough oxygen, and doesnt breathe out enough CO2. Now he needs to be on a BIPAP machine at night to force air into his airway. So I have googled it some and it seems to be common with ACM. Is anyone else dealing with this? I would love to hear from you, and hear about your experience with this. Thanks for your time - (Mom to Josh): ACM II Status post decompression Syringomyelia Central hypoventilation Hydrocephalus VP shunt w/ magnet Status post tethered-cord release
