Guest guest
Again, the CDC is not up to date on classification of c-reactive proteins. The new terms are short PTX3 and Long PTX3. These are the two major groups of C-reactive proteins. The Long PTX3 is associated with chronic inflammatory diseases, including autoimmine disorders and inflmmation from acute and chronic infections. Finally, there is a new T helper cell and its interleukin that have been described. Th17 and IL17 are associated with chronic inflammatory diseases in mice and humans. If you wish to learn more about these new findings, go to entrez pubmed and do your own searc of the National Library of Medicine. Jack D. Thrasher, Ph.D. Jack D.
