Guest guest
I didn't see it but I think it is a repeat which is good because that means more people have seen it!! Sue >> JJ wrote: Did anyone watch Mystery Diagnosis last night, 01/11/09, at 10 p.m. central standard time on the Discovery Health Channel? The first story was about a 34 year old woman who was sick with cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, weakness, fever etc. Doctor after doctor could not, did not diagnose her correctly and she became extemely sick. Finally, a specialist suspected lung cancer and did a test where they went down into her lungs to get a biopsy of what may be causing the problem. It was not cancer, INSTEAD the culture/biopsy began growing " organisms " that turned out to be penicillium, cladosporium, aspergillus and stachybotrys. Guest guest
Man that upsets me so much I missed it. I have been waiting and wondering if they were going to do a show on that. I wonder if they will run it again. I will see what I can find out. I would very much like to have a copy of that show. Chris... Guest guest
Chris/ALL: Information about the Discovery Health Channel - Mystery Diagnosis Program 1) It has been shown several times over the past (at least two years). Once I TBOED it, but lost it when my equipment failed later. I wanted a copy for my records, but the company was not selling episodes of that program at that time. Is now, on DVD! Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Mystery-Diagnosis-Season-Couldnt-Touched/dp/B001J54A9C I just ordered my copy... finally. 2) Mystery Diagnosis The Girl Who Gagged TV-PG, CC Season 5 (2008) /Episode #2 Dara Handel suffers from shortness of breath, chest and joint pain, extreme fatigue and a terrible cough, but doctors are baffled why; six-year old Walsh is a playful, energetic kindergartner, until one November evening, when strange symptoms appear. 3) It is not being shown over the next two weeks at least, but keep watching or checking the program airing information at the following website address: http://tlc.discovery.com/tv-schedules/series.html?paid=2.1213.122489.29206.9 Hope this helps. Guest guest
I went to the website of " Mystery Diagnosis " , to see if I could find anything about the MOLD episode. Guest guest
Doug, Wow, they are proud of that huh... Thanks though I will be doing what I can to get it. I do my best to collect what I can of things that interest me on video because I just seem to retain information much longer and better if I watch it rather than read it. I really appritiate you putting this up though. Hope all is well. Chris.. Atheism is a non-prophet organization. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for your Mystery Diagnosis help. I have done some searching for episode 502 I viewed on Sunday, January 11, 2009. In my search, I remembered the name Vovan. I googled Saddleback Memorial Hospital and search for a Dr. Vovan in their directory of physicians. I believe he's the doctor who found the fungus in Dara Handel's lungs. T. Vovan, M.D. 24411 Health Center Drive, #560 Laguna Hills, CA 92653 Phone: 949-452-3725 Board Certified in Internal Medicine in the Subspecialties of Pulmonary and Critical Care Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia, Lung Cancer, Respiratory Failure, Interstitial Lung diseases.
