Guest guest
If you want to read the research that exists, start at PubMed. For example: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?term=stachybotrys There is a growing body of research on the health effects caused by living or working in water damaged buildings. More than you would think, given the legal situation. For renters, especially. Maybe that will change in the future. It really needs to because so many people are getting sick. But, you know, also perhaps that is why it hasn't changed. There are so many catch 22's. I don't think many people understand this issue, or why its so important, and most lawyers look at it as a business decision. I spent a long time trying to write a long description of the issues involved but in the end I guess I self-censored it because because I didn't think that would post it. (In the past, those have been my posts that most often have gotten dropped because I have gotten emotional about this.) Have you moved? You are out, and have found another home, haven't you? Guest guest
Welcome to the group. Since the FIRST diagnosis that we ALL get, is always a SELF-DIAGNOSIS, it is important to be a precise as possible, so that when we endure the skepticism of medical professionals, we, at least, have the firm foundation of having observed, and correctly interpreted, our own body. In MY similar life experience, I observed that, as I was removing electronic items from their original cartons, I immediately became sick. So, I changed MY self-diagnosis from " electro-magnetic sensitivity " , to " chemical off-gassing " from electronics. I have had to work my way through many computers, and many T.V. sets, before finding ones that, due to their extremely old age, had " off-gassed " enough so that they did not make me sick. The correct self-diagnosis is important, because avoidance of chemical off-gassing is more easily done, than avoidance of electro- magnetic sensitivity. Either diagnosis will continue to leave you, (as it did me) open to the ridicule and abuse of medical professionals, and all your friends and relatives. But, if it turns out that your correct diagnosis is the same as mine, you too will have the potential of becoming an internet addict, just as I have. Welcome to the never-ending journey through our " alternate " universe. Joe ................................................. > > I'm a new member to your group.
