Guest guest
A while back I asked for suggestions from anyone knowing where to buy quality open backed clothing in material less gaudy than most catalogues offer. I have just received delivery of very professionally sewn tops and camisoles for my mother from a seamstress in Prince Rupert BC. I like the fact that she is open to modifications of what she has to offer. She modified the tops as requested, no extra charge. We changed the knit band at neckline and wrist of a sweatshirt style top to a mock turtle neck with no trim at sleeve to turn it into more of a casual top rather than sweatshirt. Material is good quality as is the sewing. I am much happier with her offerings than with what catalogue ordering has to offer. This may not be exactly what Mom would have worn, but is much more " her " than other offerings I have had to choose from. The length of tops is short enough to refelct need, overlap less than some I have seen without a lump down the back. I have modified most of Mom's tops by now but am happier with the overlap than the gaping that can occur with modification.
