I've heard and read that Cipro, Augmentin, Doxycycline ,zithromax or Biaxin

are all okay. I have only had to have an antibiotic once since my mold

exposure and used zythromiacin Z pack which worked for me.

Hope this helps some.

Sue

I haven't had any trouble w pencilin but Augmentin is two antibiotics

in one and I believe one of the two pencilin or amoxycline. I don't

know the difference between pencilin and amoxycline but I thought they

were the same medicine. I have taken Augmentin without problem but if

you have trouble with penicilin, you might want to check the ingredient

list on that. I took a z pack about 4-5 years ago and it worked well

for me. I don't know what is in it though. I'm taking the

Doxyclycline now as I said, but I didn't check the source of it. If

Sue said she heard these were all okay, perhaps they have no fungal

sources, but I'd check on ingredients if you have trouble with pencilin

products. Perhaps amoxycline isn't the same as penicilin but I've

always been told amoxycline was a form of pencilin. Does anyone

know?

To the best of my knowledge (I am NOT a doctor), All commercially

available antibiotics are fungal, in origin. There is an ongoing war,

in this world, between bacteria and fungi. We humans are just

innocent

bystanders, caught in the crossfire between the two. We live in a

symbiotic, " marriage-like " relationship with bacteria, which inhabit

our body, to the saturation point. I read once, that if there were a

way to take the bacteria out of our body, and weigh the bacteria,

separately from the other parts of our body, the bacteria would weigh

a

full 50% of our total body weight. There is also an intense

competition

among the bacteria, with other bacteria. This is why, sometimes, when

an antibiotic kills off all of ONE type of bacteria, the OTHER types

of

bacteria, naturally present in our body, over-proliferate, and make

us

sick, in their own right.

There have been experiments, for 150 years, in using mineral elements

as antibiotics. Just Google " mineral use of antibiotics " , and you can

read the current research in this area. But, to the best of my

knowledge, there are NO antibiotics, that you can BUY, that are not

fungal in origin.

Many Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's) can exist, at the same time as

a

fungal UTI, such as Candida. Fungal UTI's are treated with anti-

fungal

medicines. Usually the doctors treat the more dangerous of the two

types of infection that you may have, and then they treat the less

dangerous type of UTI.

The bottom line is, that unless you have an allergy to a specific

type

of fungal-derived antibiotic,you probably won't get an

intensification

of any " toxic " fungal reaction that you are experiencing. I'm not

sure

if this safety factor applies to " invasive " fungal gowths inside your

body. You have to share your concerns with your doctor, and rely on

his

educated guess. Don't expect your doctor to acknowledge the reality

of

any " toxic " mold reaction that you may be living with.
