Hi All,

I was not aware that this was available in video format. It is the meeting

of Dec 2007, in which the doctors went before the NTP for mechanistic

research of stacy toxins. As I understand it, this research is now underway.

Do you not have quicktime installed or are you behind a

firewall/router that blocks RTSP?

Yes and it tries to play in quicktime but does not get that far. Is that the

problem? I have to have quicktime for some video programs I have but...

Maybe your internet connection is too slow.. Go to its settings, bump

up your disk cache to several hundred MB

, and then let it download to cache before you watch it.. It may take a while..

What kind of Internet connection do you have? Cable modem, DSL, dial-up modem?

You can chang the settings in quicktime depending on the connection speed.

also set it to play after downloading, not instant start..

You might also want to try " http " as your default " transport " , not RTSP..

Does all of this make any sense? If you want me to explain anything,

please ask..

There is help for quicktime that explains how to get the best results..

It's going to cost you $29.99 to view and be able to save on your

computer, this interesting video. After spending more time than any

sane person would do, in trying to view the video, both through

Sharon's link on this board, and through the link on

www.schoolmoldhelp.org , I finally realized the following

limitations. (1) The quality of the video deteriorated as the video

progressed (2) Any attempt to slide the progess locator backwards to

re-hear the complicated explanations, resulted in the acceleration

of the deterioration of the video (3)There was no way to save the

video on my computer for future re-plays, so that my brain could

catch up to the speed of the new concepts being discussed

So, in following the links that came up, when I clicked my mouse on

the playing video, I found myself at

www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/ ,where I discovered that all the

shortcomings of the FREE Quicktime 7 download could be overcome by

purchasing, and downloading, Quicktime 7 PRO, for ONLY $29.99 plus

tax. So, for ONLY (sarcasm) $32.50, I was able to view the video,

and others from the same event, and SAVE the videos on my computer,

for the many future replays that will be necessary to absorb all the

information.

If you decide to do the same, make sure you are buying the WINDOWS

version, if you have a P.C. Also, if you've never downloaded any

software before, make sure you have someone with you WHO HAS. My 65

year old brain took a looooong time to buy, download, and install

the software. Also, make sure that you have already downloaded the

FREE Quicktime 7 FIRST, or the $29.99 version will not work.

Bottom line is YES, it was worth it. Remember, there will be many

OTHER videos that you will come across, as I have, that need

Quicktime 7 PRO to view and save.

The next thing that I will do, is see if it is possible to email a

Quicktime video, as an attachment. I'll let you all know, if I

succeed, so that I can answer requests, to my email address:

josephsalowitz@... , for copies.

Live, I did finally get it going. Not sure what the issue is but thanks for

helping me through it. I am watching it now.

Are you able to stop and go back to hear parts over like Joe was

talking about? I'm trying to decide should I get the upgrade or not.

No I was not able to and it was upsetting. If I did have the money I have wanted

to upgrade anyway. It is indeed worth it. Just a not I am usually able to

download any video with my realtime player but was un able to this one. So I

agree with Joe 100% If you have the cash, do it. There are many neet options

that come with the upgraded version and many reasons other than this to do it

but this alone for us makes the money well spent.

Joe,

You don't need to buy Quicktime Pro to view any quicktime content. You

may even be able to sae it from one of the cache folders without it,

after its done downloading.

The Pro version is basically for enhanced video editing capabilities.

You can often save files like that out of the browser's or streaming

clients download cache.

You need to increase the amount of disk cache so that the video is

cached completely, (bump it up to at least 500 MB)

let the file download completely, and then search for and find the

cached file, (often that means searching for hidden files,

to do that you need to use the " recently created or modified " function..

and then save it with the " mov " extension.

If you specify " http " as your transport, the file should get saved

somewhere on your disk.

I repeat, if you just install quicktime and set the transport to http,

and increase the cache (and have enough disk space free) you can

probably save the file as well as watch it without stuttering..

(although you may have to wait a long time while it downloads first)

If anybody has any questions, email me or you could probably email the

NTP site's webmaster and ask them for a copy of the file..

As a government entity, all content they produce is public property..

How much free space do you have on your hard drive?

I'm assuming you use Windows, which I actually try to avoid..

But all computers are similar in how they work..

It sounds like the program

may have been struggling to find the space to store the cache?

Or perhaps you picked a bad time, when there was a lot of congestion?

I don't know .. But I gave you something to go on here if you

want to solve this problem.

Its possible that their server was also misconfigured.. but if you try

my suggestions,

as long as you have a few hundred MB of free space on your hard drive,

it should work.

Try my suggestions and let me know if it works then.

How big is the file? Most email systems choke on single files larger

than around 5-10 Mb.

OTOH, this sounds like a good file for the files section.

Or Dr. Shoemaker's web site..

Hi Live,

Did YOU actually follow your own instructions, and were you able to view a

perfect Quicktime video of the testimony of Dr. Hudnell and Dr. Shoemaker

WITHOUT already having a copy of the Quicktime Pro software in your computer?

Unfortunately, there is no way that my 65 year old brain would be able to follow

your instructions, to avoid having to buy the $32.50 Quicktime Pro software.

Thank you for your effort to save me the expense, as I am retired, living on a

small Social Security check, and I try to save money wherever I can.

Since I already purchased, and downloaded, the Quicktime Pro software, I can

tell you that viewing the absolutely perfect version of the video of their

testimony was worth the $32.50

If my ancient brain can ever figure out how to email the video, I will certainly

email it to the Sickbuildings Files, so that everyone can view it. Thanks for

trying to help. Remember, " you can't teach an old dog new tricks. "

Don't they have a web page where you can upload it to ?

There is no way that any email system will let you email a file larger

than around 5-10 Mb.

A saved streaming video in its entirety can be huge..sometimes 100 Mb or more..

I can do 20 and if you have a www.live.com account you have 5g of storage space

that anyone you permit can have access to called skyfile.

There is always a way. If you have the file and want to upload iy on my youtube

page yndrome we can arange that to hapen if it is within 10min and

100. meg. Might have to be cut up into several parts but again there is always a

way.
