Guest guest
Too bad it's " strictly voluntary " . What an oxymoron! There's a restaurant in our small city that has contracts from several pharmaceuticals for lunches/dinners to be sent to at least 15 doctors here. Can you imagine what else goes on and how much is spent nationwide from these whores. Time for universal health coverage like they have in Canada. Guest guest
You are right about the oxymoron. But, the effect it may have is that you have a place to start the " smell test. " And some " boundaries " are being established. The whole industry must be in a catatonic state because the " party " is coming to a close. When you see docs off on a junket to the islands, people at least have something to compare things to. A pen with a logo is one thing. A pad of paper is another but, under the umbrella of " medical provider education " for research and development, which is what all this " gravy " was based on, there needs to be an explanation for the payout of the expenditure and the justification for " time off " for a doc who needs the " education " - provided gratis in the Bahamas. I recently read where no one single group gives more money to Congress than the medical profession and that does not pass my " smell test. " People are starting to " follow the money " where in the past, they would sheepishly just " obey the doctor " like he or she was God. > > Too bad it's " strictly voluntary " . What an oxymoron! Guest guest
So well said. Now if people would really get on the ball more and more would. It is a shame that it takes times like these, which I might add are not as bad as they could get, to begin to start looking at things with the rose collored glasses off. My biggest fear right now and I dont know the specifics, but I heard of a 1 trillion dollar economy boost of some kind. If we go back to normal like things were not hard I fear people will decide to no longer pay attention to all the details. I dont know. I know we all need some help I just think the help is in so many of the wrong areas and at such a great cost. Like you said these pharmacutical and insurance companies and such are so wealthy and have so much power that they can make the rules. It so reminds me of the ol films you watch on the mofias and organized crime and the only difference is these crews have all gotten into the leaders of this country. Why do some of us feel like this country is so immune to the crooked c razy leaders ruining our country like has happen to so many others. It can and is so happening right before our eyes... Guest guest
I just wanted to clarify that at the end of this original post I said " is " so happening in front of our eyes. What I meant to say is it " has been " I have no pollitacal preference. I am an American. Bolth leading partied are mostly if not all crooks in my opinion. I just wanted to say that not to offend anyone of a political comment.
