Guest guest
Well, I had Tyler's 2nd IEP yesterday. This one went much better then the last one. We meet with our home school district this time. They are looking into bringing Tyler into our middle school. It will be hard for him. The class is for students that have IQ's over 80. Tyler's IQ for math is in the 80's but language is in the mid 70's. I know this class very well; my oldest son is in it this year. I really like the teachers; they take time to find out what the children's strengths and weaknesses are. Then they work on building their weakness while keeping there strengths. The class has no more then 12 students with 1 teacher and 1 special education teacher along with an aid. Troy's class has 7 kids, and that was a lot compared to other years. It is broken up by grade, not 3 grades in one like the class that Tyler is in now. They have one teacher for math and science and another for English and social studies. Some of the kids, the ones that need more help, also have a support class with a special education teacher to work on their weaknesses. All other classes are with the " regular " students. We are praying that this will happen. Thank you all for your advice.
