Diane, You just brought something back to mind. I am so wierded out at all the

things I forget about and then something trigers something so important. I guess

I need to read through this again myself. I dont recall anything about the

breathing part. This has got me very interested.

Yes. I do do it. I didnt know that but when I went to get my broncoscopy done I

first went through all the breathing tests and so forth. The doctor asked me why

I keep holding my breath. His comment just stuck out in my mind and every once

and awhile I still think about ti when I catch myself in it for one of the

longer ones. If that is tricothesine related than it makes complete sence but I

had not put that together before.

As I am thinking about this I think that because of the non ability to really

have continued medical care for this I tend to just exsist and dont really think

about those details much because it consumes time and moods. Which is something

I am so up against again. The lack of wanting to get to this computer is even

becomeing a chore and I dont understand but I know it will pass as it seems to

always do. Thanks for the comment. It is still something I need to pay attention

to and re read my own post.

Chris...

Have you been tested for vocal cord dysfunction? It's a breathing test done on

a special machine by a lung doctor (pulmonologist?). You can read more about it

on the Mayo Clinic or Web MD websites. The toxins cause VCD because they affect

the trigeminal nerve which is involved in the function of your vocal cords.

Thank you for posting the web site info of Dr. Klein, I had not seen that

before. It was an eye-opener and a sad reminder of what I went through for two

years before coming to Dallas. I was just curious if anyone knew if Dr. Klein

was well now.

I had the breathing test done on a very fancy machine that cost like 800 dollars

by my pulminologist yes. What all was included or checked I have no idea. I will

have to check that out. What do you mean by fungus. Like this only happens with

exposure or are you just assuming since I was exposed?? Very interesting.

My family was exposed to multiple toxic molds in our home. After our exposure,

2 of my family members were having trouble getting air and after tests they were

diagnosed with vocal cord dysfunction. They did not have this problem prior to

our exposure. A specialist explained how the toxins attack the trigeminal nerve

and that nerve is involved in the function of your vocal cords. Both of my

family members went to a physical rehabilitation specialist where they were

taught how to manage the vocal cord dysfunction. It is important to know that

you can die from VCD if you can't get the airway open.
