Mold testing: NOW what do I do?

Hello,

A few months ago, my roommate and I moved into a duplex that has mold. It smells

and seems to be making me sick, or at least making my allergies worse.

My roommate hired a mold inspector to check it out. The mold count was 10 times

that of the outdoors. He says that he has done this for years and only 2 houses

he has tested had mold problems. Since he and I live a few blocks from the

Atlantic Ocean, I find that hard to believe since mold problems seem rampant

here.

Anyway, he says there is no problem. The mold report included:

Aspergillus, Penicillium, Gliocladium, Tricoderma, smuts/myxomycetes,

Nigrospora species, epiccoum species, chaetomium species, bipolaris/drechslera,

basidiospores, ascospores, and myceliar fragments.

Now what do I do? The landlord doesn't want to do anything, and the Health

Department won't get involved.

Thanks,
