Hi Lois,

Glad to be of help.

Is your dr aware of the risks of jumping T4 up too quickly? According to the

calculations my dr uses it takes 8 weeks for T4 to stabilize in the blood and it

takes 3-4 weeks to feel the full effect of a 25 mcg increase of T4. I was given

12.5 mcg increases and not less than every 4-6 weeks.

Also, it was very easy for me when I switched from T4-only to NDT. I was taking

around 300 mcg of T4 athough none of it turned into the active T3. Thus I was

extremely deficient in T3.

My dr started me out at a lower level of Armour (according to the conversion

tables) at 1.5 grains. He didn't want my already fatigued adrenals to go into

shock. He gradually increased the NDT every 6 weeks until I felt better and my

FT3 lab was good over mid range in the reference range for FT3.

Although all of the above helped I did not see real improvement until I made

diet and lifestyle changes including fixing other deficiencies.

I know you want to feel good right now but you didn't get here overnight and it

will take time for improvements.

Hang in there,

~Bj

Also, if you miss the live interview, I believe you can still click on the link

and it will just replay it after the fact. Here is a copy of the email I

received.
