Guest guest
Someone here not too long ago said they thought Dr Croft was too expensive, or in it for the money, or something similar and just wanted to comment. I had mycotoxin testing of urine by him in 2005 and it cost about 100.00 as I remember. He required I send a whole days collection of urine so I did it on a day off from work and it was about a gallon when I sent it off. Now it's recommended I get a urine mycotoxin test of three toxins. Dr Croft just tested for one, tricothecenes, so I need to go to RealTime. They charge 350.00 for a morning catch, which is about a cup probably. If I use the bathroom in the middle of the night, that might just be urine formed in just a couple of hours. Anyway, price for the three toxins doctor wants is 950.00. Test was ordered because Ochratoxin was found in fluid taken out of pancreatic cyst I have developed, I guess to see if Ochratoxin is in urine and other toxins as well, but I read price list like this: Price is - " nothing you can afford lady " . Who can afford to pay prices like this for urine test, Oprah, and Tom Cruise? Then there is that area where they ask you to chose whether to pay with your Mastercard, Visa or Check. There I'd like to add an option for myself: " or donate an organ " I called my insurance and they said they couldn't tell me ahead of time if they would pay, I'd have to submit charges and then find out, but since I see that Medicare will not pay, according to lit that came with test, I'm sure my Blue Cross won't either because in my experience Medicare picks up more than Blue Cross and most other private insurers, so to whoever thinks Dr Croft is expensive, this is to you.
