Guest guest
Good question. I don't know why doctors are in denial about fungal infections and such. I only know it took me months to finally find a doc who would even try an anti-fungal drug. They were willing to give me antibiotics and prednisone (low dosage) but anti-fungal...nah. llaci
Guest guest
I know. I thought it was because they were concerned because it can be difficult on your liver. Silly me, thinking reason may be concern for your health!!! I realized this when doctor Rxed an antifungal for my 72 year old aunt to treat a toenail fungus instead of at least trying an antifungal cream on it first. There is something else weird going on with antifungus treatment. I think their " guide books " say that it is appropriate only if you have immune suppression due to AIDS or chemotherapy treatment, even though actual wording on that is " immune suppressed people SUCH AS people being treated for cancer and AIDS patients, not limiting it to those people. > > Good question.
