My 13 year old had a VP shunt placed on 11/25/08. On Christmas night

she was sitting in her room and I was talking with and she was fine.

The next thing I knew she was slurring her words. Well I thought she

was being a kid and messing around with the friend she was on the phone

with so I left. A minute later I walked back in to find her on the

floor acting very strange. It ended up she lost total feeling in her

right side, feel out of the bed and lost control of her bladder. She

came out of it just as quick as she went into it. I am now more scared

about her every move than ever before. The only affects she still had

was a headache and tingling in her hands and feet. They did a CT and

found nothing and sent us home. I have already spoke to her doctors

office and testing will be scheduled but has anyone experienced this or

know anyone that has?
