A report on the research. IMO, it’s well worth getting past their

unfortunate use of the term “disease” to refer to autism.

Excerpt:

Two Stanford psychologists have found that the emotional difficulties

faced by many individuals with autism come from a lack of effective

emotion regulation strategies. In an ongoing collaboration with the

Stanford Autism Center, the researchers are now planning to help people

with autism learn to cope better.

Agreed! If you get hung up on semantics, as some rigid and literally minded

folks do (and that goes for some NS as well as some AS,) you can miss out on the

main message.

Thank you, as always, CJ, for posting these items. It's pretty quiet here in the

group right now so any contributions are especially appreciated.

It's the last weekend of " summer " in the northern hemisphere, and I hope and
