Excerpt: Two Stanford psychologists have found that the emotional difficulties faced by many individuals with autism come from a lack of effective emotion regulation strategies. If you get hung up on semantics, as some rigid and literally minded folks do (and that goes for some NS as well as some AS,) you can miss out on the main message.
