Take my advice...Don't get new carpeting.  You'll have problems reoccur-if not

from mold, from chemical sensitivity, or allergies.  Use a hard surface floor

you can mop with a moldicide.

I stayed in my home and had it remediated. Only to come back and have

the w-w carpeting chemical smell make me ill. I think that's how I

got MCS. I opened all the windows for almost a year and it was the

only way I could stay there.
