3 children died from hospital mold

A lawsuit filed against St. ph's Hospital in Tampa claims three young

cancer patients

died from fungal infections because the facility failed to seal off a

construction area.

The parents of the deceased children filed the lawsuit on Tuesday. The

families said they

brought their children to St. ph's last year as the hospital was renovating

parts of its

facility.

Two of the children recently had gone into remission, and a third still was

battling cancer.

Their ages ranged from 2 to 9 years. Each died after being diagnosed with a

fungal infection.
