ston hates the sound of rain inside his apartment.

It's located on the 100 block of Barrett, but you won't find a name on the

apartment complex.

" It's non-stop. It sounds like plink, plink, plink. It drives me crazy, " he

said.

He said rain has leaked inside his apartment for about four years now.

" What gets me is they haven't come to take care of it or fix it or even look at

it, " ston says.

Mold has formed around the leak in his bedroom and inside the main air duct

compartment, which is also in his bedroom.

" It scares me. I stay sick a lot. I'm having a lot of upper respiratory

problems, " ston said.

He's missed work and his rent payments. The apartment complex wants to evict him

now.

ston says he's talked to the apartment manager about the problem, and they

told CBS 11 News they had gone to ston's apartment and that " everything had

been fixed. "

But Cummings found mold too. The Denton County Sheriff's Deputy lived

next to ston in 2007. She had taken off the cover of an electrical outlet

and discovered " black, hairy mold. "

She removed the covers from all the electrical outlets on that wall and found

more mold.

" It scared me to death. I called my sister over there and said 'is this mold?'

She's like, 'It is!' " Cummings said.

Cummings believes the mold contributed to her daughter's asthma.

ston is packing up his belongings, though he's afraid of taking mold inside

his belongings wherever he goes.

" I want these people to fix their building for the people that are going to live

here after me, " ston said, even though he still doesn't know where he's

moving next.
