Guest guest
Dear Children, We saw the Medicaid lady today, and she said the ok will be in the mail next month for the Medicaid program to be in full force and it will be retroactive to July 1. So everything for Papa Don will be covered. We don't have to pay a cent, and he was also able to by-pass the three day mandatory stay in a hospital And the month of rehabilitation, who rules if he can go in a home or not. He has been able to side step all the red tape, because Don's daughter has been a nurse in Knopps nursing home for over 20 years in Fredericksburg, and she asked a very nice doctor to see her Dad. He signed the papers for Don to be admitted right then, and we knew we had to grab it or maybe loose it, and have to go the long route. The Medicaid lady said I could go in too, but I don't want to, as I am still able to get out, and I will go in Fredericksburg, as I plan to find a small place up there to live. Katy and her friend will live in the house and reserve room for me to come back when the time comes. I love home but I love Papa Don more. I will not relinquish the house just yet. All of this will pass and I will need a place when it does. This is just short term. How long ??? And Oh yes, the Medicaid lady is the mother to the wife of our grandson Sam, who I had for two year when he was a baby. Small world huh? When she said his name I didn't even recognize him at first. My mind had been blank a lot today from stress, but eventually I remembered after more prompting from The Medicaid Lady. She was just as nice as she could be. I have been left with the full amount of what Papa and I made together. I feel sure I can keep up a small apt on it. Papa is home tonight. He is so tired he hit the sack early. He will have surgery on his head for Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the morning at 9:30. I will drive him back to Fredericksburg, and then find a place for me to stay, even if it is a motel the first night or two. I want to be with him very badly, as he does with me. I know our parting will be in the future, but I want our time together to be as much as possible until then. I know every eye in the dining hall was on us at noon when Nessy and I got there, But, Don and I just couldn't let go of each other. He told me he doesn't want to be away from me anymore, if possible. I told him I would get a place and move right up there. I know you kids will help, and I appreciate knowing that. I love all of you dearly, Mama and gra'ma **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today.
