Guest guest
Not so, 24% of the population are predipositioned to get sick from the molds. Is this HLA geno type that lacks the ability to detox the mycotoxins. I'm in the top 4%, I have both bad genes or what they call HLA markers. My first test I tested 2.58ppb. for tricothecenes about 6 weeks after my acute exposure. Now had I been taking CSM or other sequestering agents, my #'s could have been a lot higher or lower. My husband took the same test (he has no HLA markers) tested 10.69 ppb for trics. A year later he tested 0.00 after taking CSM and Charcoal. He's still workin on the Aflotoxins and Ochratoxins I think its good for anyone who has gotten sick from mold to know if there are any mycotoxins floating around there bodys. With or with out the markers! Even with out the markers you still can get really sick from the moulds it just won't be as soon. I am not a Dr, just shareing what I've learned along this Journey of getting my life back. a barb1283 <barb1283@...> wrote: I'm not clear on this and perhaps someone else will know but my understanding is that mycotoxins and other toxins enter the system and do organ damage and then exit the system, so that testing of urine would show only recent exposure, should show if day you are testing you were exposed. If you are living in moldy home today and perform test today. If you have organ damage due to mold exposure or still sick due to moldy home but you moved out of a month ago, not in urine is my impression. > > SO I was also wondering, are the RTL tests for urine, etc. samples > accurate in showing an indiviuals exposure to mold and/or mycotoxins? >
Guest guest
100% of the population can be made sick by water damaged buildings and the conditions found in them.. The kind of hypersensitization can even effect more than the 24% who have Shoemaker's main mold suceptible HLA-DR types.. That happens when the amount of exposure is very high.. But endotoxins, MVOCs, massive amounts of toxins caused by flooding, effect everybody.. its only a subset of those issues that are particularly problematic for a random 24% of us, and all the very old, very young, and sick, and those with health issues that would make their immune system suppressed.. (such as taking many common medications.. ) On Sat, Nov 29, 2008 at 4:43 PM, a Townsend <kmtown2003@...> wrote: > > Not so, 24% of the population are predipositioned to get sick from the > molds.
