Guest guest
Hi , I'm Vivien, & I'm very glad you'll have the chance to get some answers at Mayo. How do you even do that? like will they see you the same day? or... do you have to get accomodations? Is it because they don't have an idea what's wrong wt. you or how did they get to that decision?.Do you know who you'll be seeing there? or will you start wt. an internist first, & if you have to see an specialist will they get yo in right a way or make you go back. By the way hhow far from there are you?. Sorry to bommbard you wt. so many questions, just that I may end up there if they can't figure out sonn what's up wt. me. Thank you Wish you the best VIVI P.S I really hope that you dump the current Dr. . I was wt. a Rheumy that was spoused to be famous cause of being interviewed by a local magazine for treating Fibromyalgia patients. That's how I went to see him. * yrs. latters beging him to check me for something " else " that had changed, he insisted for 5 yrs. that it was just F.M. I finnaly figured what it may be & just swiched. I hoped to get to tell him WHAT it was THEN dump him, but the new RD. began treating me for Autoinmune cond. but still we haven't pined pointed out exaclty wish. So I just officially left him with out an explanation. I plan to write him & informed what I've had once we know & have a treatment that helps me. But he's still very famous & totally incapable I wish I had left him long . long before. But had no clue where else I should go .(like what kind of specialist). But he should have picked up that IT WAS another autoinmmune diseased o r at least admit I was out of his leagued & reffered me to a capable one. I waisted so much time & energy & things are so cronic now. Please don't waist any more time. **************New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Guest guest
I used to think the mayo clinic was good, relibale The Mayo clinic did every test for toxins from water damaged buidling EXCEPT for mold??>>>> but now I 'm not so sure. They ahve also adopted some controversial/mainstream views of lyme disease, rather than the views/ tests /treatments that get people well. amy

Guest guest
s Hopkins released a statement that basically says they don't believe mold causes sickness at all. This situation is being made so much worse, it is very political. Insurance companies are huge contributors and lobbiests, they get what they want. Insurance companies don't want any more attention brought to this subject until they are sure you are screwed in every way and can't file any claims for mold, including medical treatment. > > I guess Hopkins is better. llaci So I've heard. Guest guest
The only reason any of those fine hospitals/clinics could be in denial is because MOLD diseases have become so prevalent in our society and they darn well know they can't afford to keep up with all the cases. llaci
Guest guest
They know full well that for " some " people allergic to mold that they can become quite sick from its inhalation. ~~ I inhaled dead mold spores (penicillin or aspergillus) and became very very sick. It took me a long and laborous three months to find a physician who would believe my story and treat me with anti-fungals. Never should that had happened. And still at the end my doctor said something like I doubt you had an Aspergillus Fungal Infection. Maybe if I had died and they had performed an autopsy then they'd acknowledge that I had an fungal infection. llaci
Guest guest
Well, as happens to many of us, I was told I was not REALLY sick, it was all in my head, that it is impossible that mold can cause.... etc etc ad nauseum, possible due to those criminals that put out the false info in the mold position paper. I was just saying that medicine is very politicised and often not scientific. I think maybe I am not expressing myself very well, I am just recovering from another exposure. Not flat anymore, but maybe not thinking quite straight or expressing what I am trying to say... I am not sure about the Florida office, maybe it is better than the mn one. > > > > > > I used to think the mayo clinic was good, relibale > > > > > > They are in minnesota, you know, and here the state medical > > board is > > out to get anyone that steps out of line...... >
Guest guest
If it makes a person sick, it is toxic no matter what! Any good allergist can testify to this. My allergist knows this. > > > > > > From: semco_semco_semco <semco_semco_semco@...> > > Subject: [] Re: mayo clinic > > > > Date: Sunday, December 28, 2008, 7:04 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Here ya go. Guest guest
Well,, then, I can confirm there is no good allergist at MAYO ville. He didn't even pick up known allergies I have had for years. Blamed all my problems on cigarette smoke. I even returned to his office and he insisted I was not allergic to anything even though Vanderbilt confirms allergies and a very well respected allergist, Albert Robbins confirms major allergies. So, MAYO has no good allergist in ville, and I don't care what your allergist says. I am not the only person who has experienced horrible treatment at MAYO. > > > > > > From: semco_semco_semco > <semco_semco_semco@...> > > > Subject: [] Re: mayo clinic > > > > > > Date: Sunday, December 28, 2008, 7:04 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Here ya go. Guest guest
Better for what, is the question. They have a very good rep the world over, but do not step into the fray where this is concerned. As I said, the Powers That Be here in Mn will not allow anyone to practice Environmental Medicine in the state. They take away their liscenses or run them out of state. Mayo in Mn is the original source of discovery of fungal sinusitis back in 1998 or so- also of the discovery of the fungal/asthma connection. That does not mean all of the doc there are up to speed, some of them are not. And then there is the political situation. -k. > > > From: kl_clayton <kl_clayton@...> > > Subject: [] Re: mayo clinic > > > > Date: Sunday, December 28, 2008, 5:51 PM > > Well, as happens to many of us, I was told I was not REALLY > > sick, it was all in my head,
Guest guest
kl_clayton - the entire problem is a political situation. Period. Insurance companies are huge lobbyist and are not going to go away without a fight. > From: kl_clayton <kl_clayton@...> > Subject: [] Re: mayo clinic > > Date: Monday, December 29, 2008, 11:18 AM > Better for what, is the question. Guest guest
You misunderstood the context of my message. I was agreeing that the quote was wrong and I was basically stating that a good allergist, like mine, knows mold can be toxic on an allergic individual. I never referred to Mayo allergist because I had no experience with them. I meant exactly what I said in the context of the message that any inhaled mold can be toxic, allergy wise. Not to mention all the other issues mold can cause. I was just commenting on what damage it causes for us who are allergic to it and how my doctor knows it can cause major health issues for those with allergies. I was on your side! I was merely responding to your quot: " It is highly unlikely that you could inhale > > enough > > > > mold in your home or office to receive a > > > > toxic dose " . " > > > From: jackiebreeze <jackiebreeze@...> > > Subject: [] Re: mayo clinic > > > > Date: Sunday, December 28, 2008, 11:32 PM > > If it makes a person sick, it is toxic no matter what!
