CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- A Bartow County mother is refusing to let her

family live in their apartment, because she claims toxic mold is

making her family sick.

Bonner said on Monday that she's having to move her family

from motel to motel to keep her kids safe.

Bonner and her family moved into a public housing apartment complex

on Stonewall Street in sville four years ago.

Even though tests done by the city came back negative, Bonner said

the symptoms she and her children have shown convinced her the

apartment has toxic mold.

Could the test be wrong?

We talked to the company that did the mold test on Bonner's apartment

and they're confident in their findings.

Still, Bonner received this letter on her door this morning say the

county was going to conduct another mold test Wednesday.

This isn't enough for this single mother who says she's lost

everything.

" The skin allergies kept getting worse. My head kept getting worse

and I and my daughter were having headaches. There were migraines

every day and Advil and Motrin didn't work anymore. My son had ear

infections, " Bonner said.

Bonner's daughter, Jalynn, said she has felt better since leaving.

" We've been sick all this time, because there's some mold here coming

through the vents. But since we left, we've been feeling better, "

Jalynn Bonner said.

Both Jalynn and her brother, Ethan, went to the doctor and tested

high for mold exposure, their mother said. But the housing authority

had the home tested for mold and officials said it checked out fine.

" Is it safe to live in that apartment? " asked CBS Atlanta's Joanna

Massee.

" Yes, according to the people we had testing (the apartment), it is, "

said Techinical Services Director Brett Dooley.

" Would you live in that apartment? " Massee asked.

" Yes, ma'am, " Dooley responded.

But Bonner said it's not just her family getting sick. Bonner said

her neighbor, Jeff , is having problems too. showed Massee

a rash on his stomach. Massee asked him when he got the rash.

" Probably ever since I've lived here, and we've been here probably a

year. It's been like this ever since I've lived here, " said.

said he has a home mold test kit that's full of fungus.

Atlanta's Centers For Disease Control and Prevention says symptoms of

mold exposure include nasal stuffiness and skin irritation.

" I've begged, I've pleaded, I've made a fool out of myself. But I

don't care, because I would lay down my life for anyone of my

neighbors, " Bonner said.

But she said no one will listen to her.
